TODAY'S OBJECTIVE:
Step 1: Students will continue working on the Artist Powerpoint Presentation.
This is what you will be graded on for your presentation. Each slide is worth a point. For full credit, you must answer each question below on your powerpoint. You must add pictures. (8 points)
RESEARCH TIP
When you conduct research online, make sure that your sources are reliable. For biographical information on artists, consider using art museum websites or a trusted online encyclopedia.
Presentation Tips: What makes a good presenter? YOU WILL BE GRADED ON HOW YOU PRESENT, BASED ON THE INFORMATION BELOW. IF YOU ARE RUDE OR LOUD WHEN OTHER PEOPLE PRESENT, YOU WILL LOSE POINTS.
We will discuss some key elements about presentation skills. Your presentation style will be graded out of 4 points.
You will present with your partner in front of the class your Google Slide of the artist you researched.
*Note- We will begin presenting Thursday, June 2nd.

- FL.6-8.1.3.e · Create and present posters, videos, PowerPoint presentations, or reports about age-appropriate personal or cultural themes.
Step 1: Students will continue working on the Artist Powerpoint Presentation.
- Students who were not at school last week, please refer to the instructions below.
- Students are to complete the Powerpoint, then practice presenting.
- Presentations will begin in-class Thursday, June 2, 2022.
- With ONE partner, research one of the artists mentioned below. Use more than one source, and guide your research with who, what, where, when, how, and why questions, like those below.
- You will choose from the following artists:
- Takashi Murakami
- Kaws
- Salvador Dali
- Vincent Van Gogh
- Leonardo da Vinci
- Frida Kahlo
- Pablo Picasso
- Andy Warhol
- Please open your Google Slides to create a presentation.
- Inform Mr. Lee the artist you have chosen for your presentation.
- Make sure you share the Google Slide with your partner so you both have access to the same presentation. Please share with me as well!

- #1- TITLE SLIDE with the artist's name, and the name or names of students.
- #2- When was your artist born? Where did he or she grow up?
- #3- What was the artist's style? How did they create their art?
- #4- Where did the artist work?
- #5- What inspired your artist's work?
- #6- What city does you artist live in today? If your artist passed away, how did they die and what age?
- #7- Why is the artist remembered today?
- #8- About the Author or Authors Slide. (Write two facts about yourself. If working with a partner, each person needs to write to facts about themselves.)

- Students who are disruptive during another person's powerpoint presentation will lose points on their ELA grade.
- Be respectful of your classmates!
