Objective: Students will understand the impact that African Kente had on African civilization and culture. Following the reading, students will create their own Kente cloth designs by drawing in class.

- Click the arrow to the left of the page. Click "WORLD CIVILIZATIONS."
- Go to MODULE 14 titled EARLY AFRICAN CIVILIZATIONS.
- Complete the assessment on Schoology for a grade.
- The assessment will always have today's date. (4 points)

Step 3: Students will watch a video about the Legend of the Spider Weaver. CLICK HERE
Step 4: Students will research Kente Cloth patterns and designs on Google. Students will be tasked with drawing their own patterns and designs and a brief written description of the meaning behind their design and color choices.
- At least three sentences for the written description. Write this on the back of the page.
- Use colored pencils or your own colors you bring to school.
- Make sure to write your name! This is due at the end of class today. (4 points.)
